DeKalb Addiction Clinic Expands to Serve Residents of South DeKalb
County
DECATUR, Georgia - Soon, residents of south DeKalb County can receive
substance abuse services close to home! The DeKalb Community Service
Board (CSB) will expand its services to open the DeKalb Addiction
Clinic at Clifton Springs starting August 1. The intensive outpatient
day treatment program includes skill building and psycho-education
groups on addiction and recovery, group counseling, family education
and individual support for recovery. The program meets American
Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Level II.I requirements.
These new services will be provided at the DeKalb CSB's Clifton
Springs Mental Health Center located at 3110 Clifton Springs Road,
Suite B, Decatur, GA 30034. Program hours will be Monday, Wednesday
and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
"We are very excited to offer these services to south DeKalb
residents," said Monica Handman, LCSW, Director of Clifton
Springs Mental Health Center. "Transportation is a problem
for a lot of people, so having this program close to home will allow
residents easier access to a much needed service."
