DeKalb CSB's Medical and Clinical Director Selected
as New Trustee
to Georgia Psychiatric Physician Association
DECATUR, Georgia -- Joseph R. Bona, MD, MBA, the Medical and Clinical
Director of the DeKalb Community Service Board (CSB), was recently
elected as a Trustee by the collective membership of the Georgia
Psychiatric Physicians Association.
The Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association (GPPA) is an organization
of 700 doctors that specializes in the medical field of psychiatry
and treats consumers who require assistance and treatment with the
utmost level of care. The GPPA is a local district branch to the
American Psychiatric Association.
In addition to his position with the DeKalb CSB as the Medical and
Clinical Director, Dr. Bona is an Associate Clinical Professor of
Psychiatry at Emory University, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Science. He received his medical degree from the State University
of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his residency
in psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center. He is board certified
in psychiatry and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric
Association. He also earned a master's degree in business administration
from the University of South Florida's School of Business. Dr. Bona
serves on the Georgia Department of Community Health's Georgia Drug
Utilization Board.
