DeKalb County Nurse Receives "Excellence in Nursing Practice"
Award
DECATUR, Georgia - At the Annual Nurse Week Celebration and Dinner
on May 10, the Fifth District Georgia Nurses Association gave the
"Excellence in Nursing Practice" award to June Moree,
APRN. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Moree is
a Registered Nurse who has a master's degree in nursing and is board
certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric/Mental
Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
For the past 16 years, Moree has worked for the DeKalb Community
Service Board (CSB) and is also active in the Metro Atlanta Advanced
Practice Psychiatric Nursing Group, a professional organization
for Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialists. Currently,
she serves as Lead Clinician at the DeKalb CSB's North DeKalb Mental
Health Center, located at 3807 Clairmont Road in Chamblee. Her specialty
is adult and older adult mental health consumers.
"This is a great honor to receive the award. I appreciate the
opportunities the DeKalb Community Service Board and the community
have given to me, and, of course, I appreciate all of my wonderful
colleagues," said Moree.
The DeKalb CSB is a public corporation and an instrumentality of
the State of Georgia that provides mental health, developmental
disabilities and addictive diseases services to children, adolescents
and adults. With over 20 locations across the county, the DeKalb
CSB is available to serve children, adolescents, adults and older
adults with outpatient mental health counseling, day and evening
