DeKalb CSB Criminal Justice Services Programs Assist with Recovery

DECATUR, Georgia - The DeKalb Community Service Board (CSB) provides three subtance abuse programs for individuals who are incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail. The STOP Program in the DeKalb County Jail graduated a class of 41 consumers on December 6, 2006. The SMART program in the Jail started a new class recently and the STOP program will be enrolling their next class soon. The DUI Court program continues with over 100 participants enrolled in the four phase program. DUI Risk Reduction School is held every month and other ongoing classes include Anger Management, Alcohol and Drug Education and a Prevention Class (CAPES) for adolescents.

To access behavioral health services, the DeKalb CSB has a Central Access line, 404-892-4646. Clinicians are available for assessments, appointment scheduling, referrals and crisis calls.
