Personal Care Homes
The DeKalb CSB contracts with over 30 independent personal care homes located throughout DeKalb County, that are licensed by the Office of Regulatory Services (ORS). The environment provides supervision and a structured setting for consumers who require varying degrees of assistance with daily living skills. Staff prepare all meals, provide supervision of self administered medications, and assist with activities of daily living. They provide structured activities, and provide watchful oversight of consumers' general functioning.

Semi-Independent Living
Consumers participating in the semi-independent program live in an apartment setting. Staff are periodically available on site to provide assistance as needed. Emergency procedures are taught to consumers and are posted in the apartments.Willow Ridge and The Avenues apartment programs serve consumers in two-bedroom apartment units. One apartment is used by staff as a central point for consumers to receive their medications, supportive counseling, and to congregate for social groups and activities. Consumers are able to live independently, but continue to need skills training as identified in the Individualized Service Plan to increase their independence.
